The trial began this morning for a former Richmond County Sheriff’s deputy accused of child molestation.

Lindon Haworth, 49, has pleaded not guilty to the charge. Attorneys anticipate the trial will continue for one to two days in Richmond County Superior Court.

Mr. Haworth, who is free on bond, is accused of kissing a then 14-year-old girl on June 8, 2007.
