COMMERCE, Ga. – Police say a Jackson County man has shot and killed his 6-year-old grandson and wounded his wife before being shot by police.

Police said Sunday they shot 55-year-old Robert L. Clark after he opened fire on police.

The boy was identified as Michael Levigne. His 5-year-old brother was in the home at the time but was unhurt.

Police said the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has sworn out warrants for Robert Clark, charging him with murder, aggravated assault and aggravated assault of a police officer. Commerce Police Chief John Gaissert said the Clark home has been a frequent scene of trouble, with seven 911 calls to the house in the past year.

Clark and his wife, Linda Dale Clark, were listed in stable condition at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

The man shot and killed a 6

The man shot and killed a 6 year-old boy? That is not mental instability, folks, that is just pure evil. I really don't want to turn this around and place blame on the boy's parents, but what in the hell would make the parents EVER think that leaving their sons in the home of a couple who have had seven 911 calls in the past year would be safe and protected?? I just don't understand how people can be so stupid, uncaring, selfish, evil....I just don't understand!

The grandparents could have

The grandparents could have had custody of the kid. With they way THEY acted you can only imagine how the kid's parents were. They could be in prison or totally drugged out. Yes, murdering a child is just PURE EVIL. God has a special place in Hell for those who harm a child............
