Man sought in Aiken robbery

Aiken authorities are seeking a man who robbed the Price Shell at the corner of Whiskey Road and Price Avenue Thursday.

The robber is described as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, clean shaven with a bald head. He was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt with blue jean shorts.

He displayed a handgun concealed in his waistband and demanded money from the register. The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m.

Anyone with information on this man is asked to call the Aiken Department of Public Safety at (803) 642-7620. Individuals also may call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at (888) CRIME–SC. Callers can remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of between $50 and $1,000.
