Davis, Washington road lanes will close Thursday for repairs

  • Follow Latest News

Crews will be temporarily closing lanes on Davis Road and Washington Road in Columbia County from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

The Davis Road lane closure will be about 500 feet south of the road’s intersection with Washington Road, according to a press release.

A turn lane for westbound traffic at Davis Road and Washington Road will be closed, as well.

This is expected to reduce the left turning traffic from Washington Road to Davis Road to a single lane, the release said.

Crews will be repairing a sewer lane in that area.

I hope they do something with

I hope they do something with that stupid median and sign on Davis Rd. that people keep hitting and totalling their cars. Everytime I go by there, the sign is plowed down. I know I've seen at least 10 new signs there. The county should see by now something is wrong there.
