AIKEN -- An Aiken man who was originally scheduled to visit China this month as a guest conductor has had his trip postponed amid Swine Flu precautions.

Gary Lamb, a retired Army colonel who took the helm of the Aiken Community Band about six months ago, was set to leave for China with friends and fellow musicians on June 18.

He stated in an e-mail today that the Chinese military will try to reschedule the trip for late September or early October.
