Aiken authorities want to question man about thefts

Investigators with the Aiken Department of Public Safety are trying to identify a man who is wanted for questioning in several thefts at Wal-Marts in Aiken.

The man is described as white, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and with a stocky build. He has sandy brown hair and wears glasses.

He was seen in a black Ford Ranger extended-cab truck. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Kirk Owen at (803) 642-7772. Callers may also call Crime stoppers of the midlands at (888) CRIME-SC and remain anonymous. Callers may be eligible for a cash reward of $50 to $1,000.
