Governor hopefuls at Friday forum

The Columbia County Democratic Party will hold its 2010 Democratic Gubernatorial Candidates Forum at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Jabez Sanford Hardin Performing Arts Center, 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd., Evans.

Candidates expected to appear at the forum include Georgia Attorney General Thurbert Baker and David Poythress, former commander of the Georgia National Guard.

Tickets are $20. Catering will be provided by Sconyers Bar-B-Que. For more information, call (706) 513-3400.

It is time to put a screeching halt to spendocrats. It is time for
all logical, sensible people, democrats and republicans to stop
this congress and president from the obvious downfall they are taking to and put someone with common sense in office. You need to quit voting for race and quit voting for a certain party, vote for the candidate that will listen to the voters. This could be the last time you have a right to vote!
