SC man sought in murder case

AIKEN -- Aiken County authorities said today they are looking for a 22-year-old Springfield, S.C., man as a person of interest in the murder of a man whose body was found in Windsor.

Police say they are seeking Matthew Lamar Jackson Jr., of the 2200 block of Windsor Road in the murder of Marques Tyler.

Sheriff's Capt. Troy Elwell sAID Mr. Tyler was last seen alive on Nov. 19, and his body was found covered by debris on Feb. 10, off Stillwater Road.

Capt. Elwell said the sheriff's office currently has outstanding warrants on Mr. Jackson for unlawful use of a telephone and a bench warrant for weapons charges.
