All S&K Menswear stores began a going out of business sale today.
Augusta has one location at 222 Robert C. Daniel Parkway in the Augusta Exchange area.
The national chain is closing all 105 stores across 26 states, the retailer announced this afternoon.
The individual stores will close when all merchandise has been liquidated.
“In spite of our best efforts, the current economic climate left us with no choice but to close down the business. We’d like to thank all of our employees for their hard work and all of our loyal customers for their years of patronage,” said Jonathan Tibus, Chief Restructuring Officer at S&K Menswear.
The men’s retailer said all existing S&K gift cards will be honored throughout the sale.

I tried to buy a new suit there recently. By the time the inhouse tailor got through adding his charges, the suit cost double the price.

The bearded man who does those commercials certainly projects his voice in such a way as to appeal to a female audience. Kind of like a white man's imitation of Barry White.One thing for sure, he can guarantee the Men's Warehouse will be the only national mens clothing chain in this area for a while.
