A 17-year-old Augusta boy was struck by a car while crossing the intersection of Broad and Fifth streets this afternoon, police said. The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital for treatment.

Cpl. Russell Schaffer of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said that he didn’t know how serious the victim's injuries were and that he could face charges for improperly crossing the intersection.

I wonder if the pedestrian

I wonder if the pedestrian had liability insurance since he may be charged with improperly crossing the intersection, I am sure he will also be responsible for any damages to the vehicle that hit him.

I think I saw this guy just before he got hit. He was jumping on a motor scooter that belongs to the pawn shop on the corner. Getting a kick out of doing something he shouldn't do. I guess he should've looked both ways...
