Emily’s musical abilities and leadership skills led to a rare two-year stint as drum major of the South Aiken marching band. She also directs the youth choir at South Aiken Presbyterian Church. Emily is an active volunteer with Aiken Churches Serving Together, Helping Hands shelter for abused and neglected children, and the Salvation Army. Though extracurricular activities demand much of her time, her diligence in the classroom has ranked her among the top four in her class. Emily will major in chemistry at Wofford College where she plans to pursue a career in the perfume industry.
