Six of the seven members of the newly constituted Augusta-Richmond County Coliseum Authority were named at today’s Augusta Commission meeting.

The five Augusta commissioners within super District 10 nominated insurance agent Hap Harris, banker David Hogg Sr. and Fat Man’s Riverfront Café proprietor Brad Usry.

The super District 9 commissioners nominated Murphey Middle School counselor Joseph Collier, East Augusta Middle School food manager Charles Harris and Augusta Technical College marketing director Bonita Jenkins.

All six were approved by a vote of 9-0 with Commissioner Joe Bowles absent.

"businessman"? well of course

"businessman"? well of course he's a businessman.. what line of business is he in? the other two are businessmen, but they were kind enough to point out what type of business they were involved in.. generically saying businessman could be your friend the "IT Consultant", which is actually just your friend that happens to know a little more about computers than you do..
