One of the Jewish Community Center's most popular summer camps each year is its Fashion Camp for girls age 7 to 13. Participants learn about style, poise and beauty techniques. The girls make their own items - such as flip-flops and a hula skirt. They learn how to do manicures and apply makeup. There's a fashion show at the end of the week.

There are still slots remaining for both sessions: July 13-17 and July 27-31. The camp is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Friday. Fashion is the focus in the morning followed by lunch, swimming and other activities in the afternoon. The cost is $225.

The Jewish Community Center, located off Fury's Ferry Road in Columbia County, offers a wide variety or arts, athletic and academic camps. For more information, call (706) 228-3636 or visit www.ajcc.org.
