Great OPSEC. Why don't you

Great OPSEC. Why don't you just list his flight number, make and model of his car, which hotel and room he's staying in and his favorite diner.

Fort Gordon has never been

Fort Gordon has never been good at keeping secrets. When I worked there in intel, they would tell us to keep quiet, then the fort would have in the brass and "high ranking civilians" and it would be on TV! Hello!

Frank, do you really think

Frank, do you really think TRADOC would spend the time on telling the press about it's trip to Augusta GA? You're clueless.

What exactly do you think

What exactly do you think this press release is.. you think the lil' ol AC actually has somebody on the inside? "U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command"= TRADOC.. Gen. Dempsey is coming to Ft Gordon for the first time, of course he wants to make an "impression" of some sort.. It may not be Dempsey himself taking the time, but at the very least his staff has passed word along..

"Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, who assumed command of TRADOC in December, is expected to meet briefly with reporters late this afternoon." That statement in of itself proves that TRADOC (probably the PAO here at Fort Gordon) did communicate with the press regarding the CG's trip to Fort Gordon, LTC. This visit is no secret, his agenda was released to the press because he is meeting with them. Withheld from the story are the locations which he will be visiting, when he will be visiting, and any travel arrangements. Would you like to know exactly when he's at Signal Towers? Look out in front of the building and you'll see the red flag with the 4 stars on it. OPSEC is not an issue for a visit designed to be publicized.

Frank, you're an idiot. His staff didn't pass it along, (like I said they could care less) the PAO at Fort Gordon did, who works for IMCOM not TRADOC. His staff had nothing to do with it.

Retired LTC you're right the

Retired LTC you're right the PAO belongs to the IMCOM. Regardless of who the PAO belongs to, it would not release information without coordinating it through the CG of TRADOC's office. Jack, IMCOM is the Installation Management Command. His staff coordinated his visit, the same as the press conference this article announced. Good grief, take your blood pressure medication and chill out. Man, I'd hate to see how upset you get over something that matters. And stop reducing something of honor (the rank of LTC) to something pathetically juvenile by associating the title with calling someone immature names like "idiot". As a retired LTC, we all expect a bit more from you.
