Richmond sets CRCT retest date

  • Follow Latest News

Richmond County schoolchildren who failed to pass the required portion of the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests will get another opportunity to pass next week.

On May 28, the reading CRCT retest will be administered to third-, fifth- and eighth-graders, and on May 29 the math retest will be administered to fifth- and eighth-graders.

Parents have been notified if their children failed

the state tests on the first attempt.

Pupils must pass the required portions of the CRCT to automatically be promoted to the next grade. Those who don’t pass must file an appeal in hopes of moving on.

Although individual parents have been notified, Richmond County’s overall CRCT results have not collected and publicly released.

Debby, you are correct. The

Debby, you are correct. The school board needs to investigate schools with major disciplinary problems making AYP, especially when the school's teaching staff is in disbelief. Teachers can't teach and students are reading three grade levels, if that, below and don't know multiplication tables for Math. How are they passing???? The truth will come out....
