Project ExPreSS (Exam Preparation in Science and Social Studies) is an intensive two week summer intervention for students who failed to pass the science and social studies sections of the Georgia High School Graduation Tests.
Students must pass the four sections of the graduation test and the Georgia High School Writing Test.
Richmond County has identified about 250 students for the program. Teacher compensation and student transportation will be funded completely by the state.
Ms. Cox will visit A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School, where the program is being held.
