Police ask public for help in finding bandit car

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a bank robber who has struck four local banks in the last year.

Police say the man, who typically wears black clothing and a mask, last robbed the First Citizens Bank at 3602 Walton Way Extension Monday, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The suspect was seen sitting in a white Cadillac shortly before the robbery, police said. He was also witnessed running to the area where the car was parked after the incident.

The vehicle is believed to be a white 1994 to 1996 model Cadillac Deville, the release said.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080. All information will be handled confidentially, the release said.
