Authorities said a 10-year-old boy’s claims that he was kidnapped in south Augusta by a man on Wednesday were false.

The boy told police he was in the 1700 block of Deerchase Lane when a man got out of a red pickup truck, punched him in the stomach and threw him inside the vehicle, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's report.

The boy said that when the man stopped his truck, he jumped out and hid. Sheriff’s Sgt. Calvin Chew said they have confirmed that the boy’s story was not true.

It was probably a red

It was probably a red spaceship and it was martians that kidnapped him. Any story to avoid getting in trouble for doing something he was not supposed to be doing.
