AIKEN -- An Aiken County man who had been wanted since Tuesday when police say he threatened to harm a school principal was arrested today in Lee County, Fla.

Aiken County sheriff's Capt. Troy Elwell said Tregory Tyler, of Tyler Road, was apprehended around lunchtime on an unrelated charge.

Police said Mr. Tyler called Wagener-Salley High School's principal and threatened to harm him because his child was facing disciplinary action. Police immediately locked down the school.

Police said Mr. Tyler was also wanted on other unrelated arrest warrants, one involving a harassment charge and another on assault and battery.
