ATHENS, Ga. — The Athens-Clarke County Police Department plans to hold a news conference Tuesday to reveal additional details on the death of former University of Georgia professor George Zinkhan.

The news conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. Authorities say Mr. Zinkhan shot his wife and two other people on April 25.

Cadaver dogs located a body Saturday in a wooded area of Bogart, about a mile from where Mr. Zinkhan's Jeep was found a week earlier and not far from his home.

Police confirmed Saturday evening that the body was Mr. Zinkhan's. But they were waiting for an autopsy report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab to determine the cause and time of death.

The decomposing body and two gun were found partially buried and well concealed.
