Georgia schools still waiting on state CRCT test results

  • Follow Latest News

Richmond County schools continue to await results from the state’s Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests.

Director of Student Services Carol Rountree said results won’t be received by the school system until the state has a statistically significant sampling of results to determine any significant issues with the test itself.

When the results do come into the school system, they arrive in a format that must be compiled by school officials before they can be released on school level and county level basis, Dr. Rountree said this morning. Results could be in later this week.

Parents of third-, fifth- and eighth-graders are awaiting the results of the CRCT to learn whether their children will automatically advance to the next grade.

Lovely. So they cancelled

Lovely. So they cancelled summer school for elementary and middle school based on the "fact" that scores would be back in time for remediation to take place during the last two weeks of school. We are now in the last two weeks of school, scores won't be back until at least mid-week. Take into consideration honors days programs and end of the year parties, exactly when will remediation take place?
