State offices in South Carolina will close today in observation of Confederate Memorial Day.
Federal, Georgia state, Edgefield County, Aiken County, Edgefield, Aiken, and North Augusta offices will be following regularly scheduled hours.
This is an outrage! The minority elected officials are complete political failures to acknowledge such a day. They should put their political lives on the line to denouce such a day. Again, they (minority citizens) are being disrepected, made fools of, and their tax dollars supporting such a day. Wow! What a backward state.
You wouldnt say that if it were your people. Now call me an Uncle Tom! Facts are Facts and we cant change them. Its best we pay it no attention and people like you put it right on the news.
Justass4, a basic US concept has always been that the majority rules(until the Civil Rights Act).
They close for MLK day , why not this day? fair is fair
Obama said it was OK to close. He gets to keep the money that they would have made.
