There is still time to sign up for the plane pull fundraiser that will be sponsored by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta on May 30.

Teams of 20 will compete to see which team can pull a Boeing 727 plane 12 feet in the shortest time. The plane weighs 155,000 pounds without fuel.

Today is the deadline to register a team. To compete, businesses must pay a $1,000 fee. Nonprofits, schools, churches and community clubs must pay a $500 fee.

The money will be due prior to pulling the plane, but it is preferred teams pay the fee as soon as possible, said CeCe Stez, house associate.

Proceeds will go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta.

The event will be held at 10 a.m. May 30 at the Augusta Regional Airport and is free for spectators.

For more information or to register a team, call (706) 724-5901.
