Man, 51, arrested after Broad Street stabbing incident

A 51-year-old Augusta man was arrested today following a stabbing incident at a Broad Street convenience store. The victim’s wounds did not appear fatal, police said.

Carl Bailey, 700 block of Broad Street, was charged with aggravated assault, jail records show.

He was arrested after an altercation at Olde Town Amoco gas station, 443 Broad Street. Deputies at the scene said they think the incident occurred after a fight over money.
