ATLANTA A grand jury has indicted a 22-year-old woman and her mother on charges involving a highway accident in south Fulton County on Easter Sunday that killed five people.
Aimee Michael was indicted today on five counts of vehicular homicide as well as reckless driving and hit and run. Police say she caused a chain reaction accident and left the scene in her BMW.
Her mother, Sheila Michael, was indicted on charges of tampering with evidence and obstruction. Police say the mother, an Atlanta school teacher, helped her daughter conceal the crash and repair the BMW.
Aimee Michael was arrested two weeks ago after a neighbor saw the BMW outside the family's home. She remains in the Fulton County jail.
