Wilkes group may start SAR chapter

WASHINGTON, Ga. -- An organizational meeting to create a Sons of the American Revolution chapter in the city of Washington will be held at 7 p.m. May 11 in the Mary Willis Library, 204 E. Liberty St., Washington.

Any man age 18 or older may submit an application to prove lineage to a Revolutionary War soldier.
