Former Laney star transfers to Lander

GREENWOOD, S.C. – Former East Tennessee State guard Kami Phillips, a former Laney star, is transferring to Division II Lander next fall.

Lander announced Phillips’ move Monday.

Phillips is a 5-foot-9 guard from Augusta, who played about 15 minutes a game and averaged 2.3 points and 3 assists a game at East Tennessee.

Lander coach Kevin Pederson said Phillips’ Division I experience will help his club. Phillips would have two years of eligibility remaining.
