The Minnesota Vikings drafted former Thomson standout Jasper Brinkley in the fifth round of the NFL Draft on Sunday.
The South Carolina linebacker was taken with the 150th pick overall.
Brinkley was one of four former Gamecocks selected on the second day of the draft.
Tennessee picked tight end Jared Cook in the third round with the 89th selection overall, and Denver took wide receiver Kenny McKinley in the fifth round at No. 141. Offensive tackle Jamon Meredith went to Green Bay at No. 162.
