Atlanta wastes ninth-inning chance

WASHINGTON - Thanks to a suddenly stout bullpen, the Washington Nationals finally have their first winning streak of 2009.

Adam Dunn homered, Washington's beleaguered relievers tossed three scoreless innings for the second day in a row and the Nationals beat the Atlanta Braves 4-3 on Tuesday night for their second consecutive victory.

After opening the season 0-7, then dropping to 1-10, Washington is 3-10. Atlanta has lost five of six games.
