Former Louisville, Ga. resident earns Masters invite

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Former Louisville, Ga., resident Brian Gay won the Verizon Heritage, finishing with 7-under-par 64 to win by 10 shots Sunday.

The victory earns him an invitation to the 2010 Masters Tournament.

Gay, who set a tournament scoring record with 264 and a margin of victory of 10, entered the final round with a three-shot lead, but fired 31 on the front nine after he went birdie-eagle on his first two holes.
