Got a battery? Get a buck from AAA Carolinas

  • Follow Latest News

COLUMBIA — Bring in a battery, get a buck — and help save the environment, too.

AAA Carolinas is offering $1 for each car or boat battery brought in to a AAA Car Care Center in the Carolinas this week.

David Parsons is president of AAA Carolinas. He says batteries can harm the environment if they're not properly disposed of.

Earth Day is Wednesday.

Nationwide, AAA has collected over 75,000 batteries during Earth Week since 2001. Residents of the Carolinas have recycled over 4,700 batteries.

Who is he kidding? Interstate

Who is he kidding? Interstate Batteries on Hwy 25 will pay you five bucks a core. Maybe he wants to make the four bucks for himself?

Another scam all in the name

Another scam all in the name of "enviromentalism". Any auto parts place will give you a 5-10 dollar credit towards a new battery with a core. They are worth more than a dollar just in recyclable lead alone. AAA is just trying to make a fast buck on your ignorance.
