ATLANTA — A 21-year-old South Carolina man wanted for murder has been arrested in a traffic stop near Atlanta.

Authorities told the Aiken Standard that Morris Dorch was taken into custody Thursday after a traffic stop in Tucker. He was at the DeKalb County jail awaiting an extradition hearing.

Aiken County deputies say Prince Shand Jr. was visiting friends in September 2007, when Dorch pulled a gun from his vehicle and shot him.

Aiken County Sheriff Michael Hunt says he thinks the suspect and victim were gang members.

It wasn't immediately clear if Dorch has an attorney.
