Dan Blanton, the president and CEO of Georgia Bank & Trust, is meeting this morning with President Barack Obama in Washington, D.C., to discuss small business lending issues.

Mr. Blanton is one of three American Bankers Association-member community bankers, along with ABA Chief Operating Officer Diane Casey-Landry, who will meet with President Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to examine how Small Business Administration rules can be streamlined to help banks lend even more to small businesses.

The meeting might be televised around 11:40 a.m., according to Georgia Bank & Trust officials.

I also get a sick feeling

I also get a sick feeling reading the posts. That is why I skip over many of them after reading the first sentence and seeing the name of the poster.

I'd rather get sick of

I'd rather get sick of reading these posts than the illness caused by actually reading the bills being brought before and passed by Congress. Congress is not reading them either, don't feel attacked. Why should we expect the citizens of America to defend policies of their choice of POTUS when Congress cannot do so?

Well, I listened to the POTUS

Well, I listened to the POTUS this morning giving his little speech. Blanton didn't seem to make it to TV, some lady from a bank in Texas was on there. AIG seemed to have used most of their stimulas money to award their crooked employees instead of using it to get back on board. SusieQ

Miss Suzie: Bonuses were

Miss Suzie: Bonuses were awarded to good performing divisions of AIG, not the folks who ran it into the ground. Please see posts on RNR board for clarity. I'd be mad too if the people who screwed up so badly got millions, but that simply is not the case in this story.

Dan you need to take Governor

Dan you need to take Governor Mark Sanford with you because since Pres. Obama has been elected to the White House he can't keep his mouth shut for the media. And Mark Sanford" no you can't spend the stimulus money to paid state debt."

A meeting with Obama usually

A meeting with Obama usually means you haven't paid your taxes like all of his other staff appointees or he's arranging some bailout money to go your way as payback for political contributions.
