BAMBERG, S.C. — A South Carolina high school student has been charged with assault for cutting another student with an eyebrow shaver.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported today that a 16-year-old girl at Bamberg-Ehrhardt High cut a 15-year-old boy above his elbow with the razor's edge of the shaver.

Principal Randy Maxwell called the Thursday incident horseplay that turned into a serious mistake. He said the girl cut the other student after losing her temper. He said the boy required several stitches.

Maxwell said the girl was expelled following a hearing and cannot return for the rest of the school year.

Glad to see Bamberg school

Glad to see Bamberg school officials don't fool around with disruptive students. RC could stand more of the same.

I thought education was the

I thought education was the answer for our youth to give them a productive and full life. Expelling this girl is to deny her the right for education's salvation. But then again, Madoff had plenty of education and turned his education into a $50 billion white collar robbery. So much for education's salvation. There must be another way. Hummm, wonder what that could be???

I think the answer may have

I think the answer may have been better sex education - hmmm....maybe giving out condoms to both of them could have turned this rough horseplay into a sex ed lesson. Maybe diversity training could have turned this situation around, or perhaps more focus on forgiveness and tolerance.

Geesh, someone take this lil muffin top girl aside and inform her that no one "shaves" eye brows anymore. Get 'em waxed or threaded and you won't have to lug your weapons, oooops, I mean "beauty tools" about.
