Columbia County officials said they have found the owner of 4 lost cows.

The owner was not identified in a news release sent out this afternoon.

The county's Animal Care & Control department picked up four animals Friday found running loose on Three Oaks Golf Course.

The cows had apparently travelled 1.45 miles through the woods to get to the golf course, officials said.

Those are some dedicated golfers! You can tell Masters Week is coming soon because not many foursomes walk almost two miles though woods to make it to their tee time.

Bring 'em on down to my yard

Bring 'em on down to my yard in South Richmond County. It's rural here and my grass could use the fertilizer. Best fertilizer in the world....cow patties. The French make statues of them and leave 'em to dry in the fields. Makes a hot cooking fire. Man is born of dust and returns to dust. Dust grows grass for cows to forage. Cow eats and makes cow patties. Be respectful of cow patties. They might be someone's grandfather.

Hey there, HillGuy, watch

Hey there, HillGuy, watch what you say about South Augusta. Augusta is like Jacksonville, FL and encompasses the whole of Richmond County except for Hephzibah and Blythe. Augusta is almost a city-state, it's so darned big, which makes the population seem more impressive. We're 25 miles from Washington Road and cows do so want to live here. This area is the coolest in country chic and North Augusta is passe. We're the best! Send us your cows. They'll thank you for it.
