DORAL, Fla. – Phil Mickelson overcame heat exhaustion and dehydration to win the CA Championship, his first World Golf Championships title.

Mickelson closed with 3-under-par 69 to edge Nick Watney by one stroke at Doral Golf Resort and Spa.

Mickelson’s spokesman said the golfer has been treated for heat exhaustion and mild dehydration before playing the final round of the CA Championship.

Spokesman T.R. Reinman said Mickelson was feeling lethargic after the third round and was taken to Baptist Medical Plaza to receive two bags of an IV solution.
