William Archer Stulb, 24, formerly of the 2800 block of Lombardy Court in Augusta, is accused of molesting an 11-year-old Augusta girl during a trip to Sea Island, Ga., in June.
The trial initially was scheduled to start Monday, but was continued.
It was the second incident involving Mr. Stulb, who was convicted of statutory rape in 2005, but was not required to register as a sex offender until the law changed in 2006.
His sentence was changed under the First Offender Act in June and he was released from probation.
Mr. Stulb is being held in the Glynn County Detention Center.
