A second-grade pupil was suspended from Gracewood Elementary today after a teacher discovered a 9mm handgun in his backpack.

The child showed the handgun to a friend who then told a teacher, according to Richmond County Sheriff’s Investigator Tess Alexander-Brunson. The gun was not loaded and there was no magazine inside, Investigator Alexander-Brunson said. The child took the gun from his parent.

The Sheriff’s Office is not pursuing charges against the adults, police said.

Seems from reading this that

Seems from reading this that is all people do is sit behind their computers and run their mouths and blame it on color..YES THIS NATION OF OURS IS KILLING ITSELF.with guns drugs and gangs... but a lack of education is to blame and babies having babies having babies..You cant stop an inquisitive child you can only teach them..and educate them..guide them..like I said a bullet see's no color but a proper education should see all colors..teach them and let them lead the way..to many people turn their back but yet are quick to blame when it is said and done. I applaud the family for not keeping the clip and ammo stored with the gun...if everyone is so darn afraid of being broke into then get an alarm system or put bars on your windows..or hell just carry your gun on your side then you will always be prepared.
