The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two teens accused of threatening to bomb Midland Valley High School.

Jeffrey Ferrell, 18, of Oxpens Road, Warrenville, was arrested Monday and charged with making a bomb threat, unlawful use of a telephone and disturbing schools, said Aiken County Sheriff’s Capt. Troy Elwell.

Cody Hart, 17, of Converse Drive in Aiken was arrested Saturday and charged with making a bomb threat, unlawful use of a telephone and disturbing schools.

Police believe the teens called the Aiken County high school on Jan. 27 claiming to be Blood gang members and threatening to shoot two victims and bomb Midland Valley High the next day, Capt. Elwell said.

Investigators later traced the call back to one of the teenager’s cell phones.

Mr. Ferrell remains at the Aiken County Detention Center. Mr. Hart was released this week.

if they would only lump

if they would only lump crimes like this with terrorism laws it would cause them to be as rare as terrorism in this country. facing 20 to life would deter most idiots from even thinking of doing such a thing.

Here's the most possible

Here's the most possible senerio. They wanted to get out of school but were so afraid they would get in trouble if their parents found out they had cut that one of those geniuses came up with this plan thinking they wouldn't get caught and they would get out of school. Only thing is you don't get out for threats you get to stand outside genius. They didn't think a little farther ahead and pick the lesser of the two. Next time children take the punishment from your parents and not from the law enforcement. Let's hope the parents of these two will participate in the punishment and put these kids on lockdown in their homes. I was so worried of my mom thinking badly of me when i was mvhs and that alone kept me from this type of behavior. I'm thirty now and my mom's opinion of me still matters just the same so the parents of these boys need to ask themselves why they are getting that same type of respect.
