AIKEN - Aiken County investigators raided a meth lab in Jackson this morning, thanks to information from an anonymous source.

Randall Wayne Robertson, 51, is in jail on charges of attempted manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession drug paraphernalia, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators arrived about 11 a.m. at Mr. Roberston's home in the 300 block of Drag Strip Road, said Capt. Troy Elwell, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. Mr. Robertson gave the officers permission to search his property, which included the home and several outbuildings.

“The lab wasn’t up and running,” Capt. Elwell said. “He had all the materials, but he hadn’t combined them.”

Capt. Elwell said Mr. Robertson has been charged before on drug charges involving the manufacture of methamphetamine.
