Augusta bank robbery suspect now charged with Aiken holdup

A man arrested Friday in the robbery of an Augusta bank has now been charged with an Aiken holdup.

According to a statement released this morning by the Aiken Department of Public Safey, Alex Rodger III, 61 of Lithonia, Ga., is charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Investigators have issued warrants for Mr. Rodger for the Vista Bank robbery on Feb. 6 in Aiken.

Mr. Rodger was arrested Friday afternoon in McDuffie County, Ga., after a high-speed chase down Interstate 20.

I was wondering if this 61 yr

I was wondering if this 61 yr old would have been involved in the Aiken bank robbery since these 2 events were close together. Wonder if he was trying to supplement his retirement?
