Hootie, Zac Brown Band will play at Rock Fore Dough event

  • Follow Latest News

This year’s Drive For Show, Rock Fore Dough! concert will be a little bit country while remaining a little bit rock ’n’ roll.

South Carolina act Hootie and the Blowfish will once again headline the benefit concert, with rising country/rock act the Zac Brown Band appearing in support. Information on other acts will be released at a later date.

The concert, now in its fifth year, takes place Tuesday, April 7, at First Tee of Augusta. Hootie and the Blowfish, which has headlined the event three of the previous four years, is best known for the hits Hold My Hand and Let Her Cry. Lead singer Darius Rucker has enjoyed solo success with his 2008 country album Learn to Live.

The Zac Brown Band toured extensively before finding chart success with the 2008 single Chicken Fried. The band has appeared on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson and will play the Bonnaroo Music Festival in June.

Tickets for the Rock Fore! Dough concert are $25 in advance and $35 at the gate. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 14 and will be available at ticketalternative.com and area Kroger stores. Proceeds from the event support the First Tee of Augusta.

however, it'd be nice to add

however, it'd be nice to add just a lil bit of soul to the lineup, since this is a soul city ala the late JB. Diversity does have its place.

Have you guys not been. This

Have you guys not been. This is the second most attended concert every year. This year, Zac Brown it's country not like we had last year. This will be the best Rock Fore Dough ever and no I don't particularly care for country.
