Awwwwwww. :)
A Clarks Hill, S.C., pet lost after a wreck two weeks ago was reunited with his family this afternoon.
Joker, a 7-year-old Labrador retriever, ran away after he and his owner, Jacob Kramer, were involved in a wreck on Washington Road Jan. 20. Police said Mr. Kramers Nissan Titan flipped onto its side in front of The Pizza Joint after being struck by a car turning left onto Old Evans Road.
Joker, who witnesses said was bleeding from the mouth, ran away. Mr. Kramer said his family posted fliers in the Evans area and visited areas where people reported seeing Joker.
Mr. Kramer said his dog has been frequenting the backyard of a Northwood Estates home off North Belair Road for a few days. Hes been visiting Joker every morning, but the dog was scared and wouldnt let anyone approach him.
This morning, the homeowner was able to get close enough to leash Joker and return him to the Kramers.
Mr. Kramer said he took Joker directly to a veterinarian, who said the dog appeared a little underweight but otherwise healthy.
Awwwwwww. :)

Way to hang in there, Joker!!!
We are so thankful to the community for all of it's help in assisting with Joker's safe return. A speacial Thanks goes out to Beverly Hixson and her familily, who from day one have been helping, ever so generously, in the return of Joker to his home. We can't say thank you enough to all those that have been praying for and asking for Joker to return home.
He is very happy to be home and back to his old self, just very tired and ready to continue being spoiled. I think the spoiling is going to get a little worse now.
Thank You Everyone!!!!!!!!!
The Kramer Family

Clearer writing would have helped me understand this story more easily.
I am a member of Beverly Hixon's family. Although I don't live in Augusta, I have called her several times a day to get updates on finding Joker. I was so excited to hear he was found, healthy and reunited with his family. I know he is enjoying a nice warm home and the love of his family tonight!!!!
I am Beverly's sister and she and I have spent days looking for Joker. I am so glad that Joker is back with his family tonight. There is nothing like seeing a man and his dog so happy to be in one anothers arms. My daughter, who has spent hours in the car with me looking for Joker can't wait to tell everyone at school tomorrow. JOKER WE LOVE U! Keep in touch:)
A story with a nice change of pace... I'm glad that Joker had a family that missed their pet and wanted him/her back.. A nice change from the creeps who choose to dump unwanted pets at the corner of my street and drive off to forget them.. Kudo's for the owners who wanted their pet and made efforts to get it back!!!
Nice story. Thanks for sharing.
It is good news that Joker is back home. What a happy ending! These pets are like family members.
What a wonderful ending to a tragic beginning--so glad to hear Joker is back with his family. Kudos to the Hixson family for their efforts--and to everyone else who helped to find the missing pet.
special place in heaven for people like the Hixsons, wish there were more of you!.
