No students were on board a Columbia County school bus that collided early this morning with a tractor-trailer near Harlem.

The driver of bus No. 9121, 27-year-old Khaijah Dorsey, of Harlem, was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries after the 6 a.m. crash, said Columbia County Sheriff’s Capt. Steve Morris.

Mr. Dorsey was driving west on Gordon Highway near Lou Lane when an east-bound tractor trailer, driven by Jamison Arrington, 24, of Keysville, crossed the center line and struck the front of the bus, Capt. Morris said.

The tractor trailer then sideswiped the bus before running off the road into woods, Capt. Morris said.

Mr. Arrington, who was not injured, was found to be at fault in the crash and was charged with failure to maintain lane, Capt. Morris said.

Not a good week for folks with the last name Arrington.

If you read the headline to this article literally, it sounds like all the students got off the bus so the bus could have this accident. No pupils were on the bus! Makes more sense to me to say that an "empty school bus was involved in an accident". But then one might assume there was not even a driver if the bus was empty! Can you tell I'm bored today?

Thank God no one was hurt. The only thing that saved Mr. Dorsey was that he was in a school bus, not a passenger car.

They spelled my name wrong and most importantly, they put Mr. instead of Mrs, I am a female....Mrs. Khadijah Dorsey and yes GOD was with me...Praise Him:)
