Auction of club yields no sale

The future of the North Augusta Country Club is still unknown.

An auction today facilitated by J.P. King Auction Co. did not generate high enough bids to complete the sale, said Jose Boza, a representative of the company.

The company will continue working with the five registered bidders and the seller “to structure a deal with a prospective new owner,” he said in a news release.

A final sale may take a couple of weeks to complete.
