Toyota of Augusta, a Washington Road dealership that has seen some ownership changes in recent years, is facing bankruptcy, court records confirmed today.
Thank god. No more of those stupid TV commericals. Toyotaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa of Augusta we ghetto like that.
This is breaking news. Every car dealership in America is facing bankruptcy!!!
the owner is the biggest crook of them all
Now who is going to service my 2 toyotas?
How cheap are they going to sell their SUVs?
Should have bought American, Augustaflash
Wonderful poetic justice! Never liked the financial management there to begin with. 'augustaflash' there is always milton ruben toyota across the river in north augusta!
That's Bob Richard's Toyota in North Augusta
The economy is going downhill and with it all of us!!
I will never buy anything other than a Toyota, so IF I ever need repairs, I would go to the next closest dealership out-of-town!
Is it just me or is someone going bankrupt everyday now? Just let me know when their Tundras are 1/2 off. I need one of those.
inSCNow all you have to do is cross the river to Bob Richards Toyota, formerly Taylor Toyota to get your repairs. I hated those Augusta Toyota commericals too.
I'm with you inSCnow - American cars won't ever compare to a Toyota! I want to know when they have a HUGE sale too because I will buy another one!
Praetorian you are stupid like that.
Toyotas are good but I'm a Ford girl. I pray it will all get better soon for everyone.
I drive a Mustang and an Escape. Believe in American made! Scary how bad the economy is getting.
Thats Charleston, SC.
Yep AA, I heard Uncle Milty bought 'em.
All dealerships are crooks.
Service your own Toyota.
My first choice of a car for everyone in my family is a Toyota. We have had issues with all our American made cars. Unfortunately, I haven't been in a position to buy since our last Toyota about 10 years ago. And it's still running fine. I hope there is still a Toyota dealership around when I'm ready to buy again. Reasonable prices, easy to maintain, easy to for good mechanics to repair. As a matter of fact, my mechanic drives one that is probably about 20 years old. If that's not a good example, I don't know what is.
Milton Rubin will be Toyota starting next week.
Milton Ruben bought this or so I thought? This must mean the past owner has gone bankrupt?
Finally! True professionals will be selling Toyota's in Augusta!!
I hate to see anyone having to declare bankruptcy but I am sure someone will pick up the pieces and continue to sell in the area. Some folks just will not set prices at a decent rate and this is the result, Bottom line who ever takes over should remember that we are in a recession and people can't afford the jacked up prices.
If you listen to the Mayor's commercials about how good the economy is in Augusta, no business should be having financial problems.
I went by there today to buy a light bulb for my Solara...a great car....it was locked up tight...there was a security guard who said the Mr. Ruben had bought it...and I think he said it would reopen tomorrow...Since its on my way home i am going to see if it is tomorrow...really want that light bulb...hard to put makeup on in the dark!:>
I'm a Ford guy......always have been, always will be. I have two now with over 200,000 on each and still run / look great! The UAW has done what they can to destroy the American auto industry, but I will ALWAYS buy American company products.......At least as long as there is one still in business! Oh wait.......Obama is going to save the world and every business in it.
You all sound quite certain that you have no idea what caused American Business to go overseas. Between being unable to compete with $0.50 per hour labor costs and the highest Business Tax rates in the world, we're lucky we can buy anything Made In America. I hope they sub out the prostitution soon, these American Jobs are getting expensive!
LemonDrop - yeah, as long as he doesn't rehire the foul mouthed Sales Manager. He gave all Puerto Ricans a bad reputation.
