Court date set in former Colts coach's contract dispute

Augusta Colts owner John Sisson said he and former head coach Bubba Diggs will go before a Columbia County Magistrate judge Feb. 12 to settle a contract dispute.

Diggs, who led the Colts to a 7-7 season last year, filed suit against Sisson on Nov. 21 for $14,068.

Sisson stopped paying Diggs six weeks after the Colts’ 2008 season ended, but Diggs claimed his contract was supposed to run through Dec. 31.
