Johnson wins Sony Open

HONOLULU - Zach Johnson made his lead after three rounds of the Sony Open hold up, winning the first full-field PGA Tour event of 2009. The former Masters Tournament Champion shot 65 Sunday to finish 15-under-par 265, for a two-stroke victory over Adam Scott and David Toms.

Augusta native Charles Howell briefly tied for the final-round lead before finishing in fourth place at 12-under 268. Howell shot 66, his fourth round of the event at Waialae Country Club in the 60s.

Former Louisville, Ga. resident Brian Gay (68) also finished near the top of the leaderboard, tying for fifth at 11-under 269.
