Whisenhunt leads Cardinals to Super Bowl

GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Arizona Cardinals will play for an NFL title for the first time in 60 years after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 32-25 in the NFC Championship Game Sunday.

In his second year as head coach, Augusta native Ken Whisenhunt has transformed the Cardinals from a perennial doormat into a team making its first Super Bowl appearance. Two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner threw four touchdown passes, three to Larry Fitzgerald, and Arizona overcame a Philadelphia rally to secure their trip to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla.

Coach Whisenhunt, your father

Coach Whisenhunt, your father would have been so happy this day. He was always so proud of you as well as your brother and sisters. He was a truly great and honorable man.
