The clerk told Columbia County sheriff's deputies that the man told her that "... he could not get a break in life and that he was a felon."

That was smart. The reason he can not get a break in life is because he continues to do stupid stuff like robbing a store. How do you expect someone to give you a chance if you have that mentality? It is going to be even worse once he gets caught because he is adding more stuff to his record so he really won't get a break this time.

what an idiot...what;ever happened to gun point? these notes should be saved for when they are in prison...

Dan White

He should have waited until Obama became President and applied for the Share the Wealth program.

A black man you don't say!!!!!!!

CoastalDawg

I like your comment Greenjacket. See, there IS a way out of you just wait your turn.....Meanwhile I think we can all see WHY he can't get a break and WHY he is a convicted felon - charges added now and could be federal where there is no parole if he had a gun.

TEDDY1

he had a note......no gun...did you read it

Dan White

Maybe he was asking TPS for a bail out instead of Congress. Who needs to wait for Obama to take office - just go to your nearest bank, hand them a note that you need some of the bail out money from Congress to keep you and the economy humming along. Why go through all the bureacracy and red tape?

Two extremes here. One great post by Concerned Citizen and one really [filtered word] post by GreenJacket.

hossiv

Taking no responsibility for his own actions. Its not mine, but give me your money! I wonder who he voted for?

As It Is

Can't get a break...what crap...He was given a break by being born in the USA, being given the opportunity to a free education, etc. and yet he CHOSE a life of crime. He no longer deserves to be a part of our society nor do any thugs who are violent or intimidate others, etc.

Dan White

HYP - you have no sense of satire. Lighten up.

Just where I want to see my child's picture on the Augusta Chronicle and the local news for robbery. How proud he must have made his mother, but then I have to wonder what values did she teach her son that he would rob someone. She should have started early, "Thout shall not steal". Put the 10 commandments and the bible back in school because no where else are these kids learning anything, surely not at home. What in the world is worth the little bit of cash you will get from one of those registers and the record and time you will do for it. I am sorry but there just isn't enough $00000's behind that clerks drawer for me to ruin my life and my families.

Felons can vote in Georgia if they have completed their sentence and if you are a felon it's about the same as the sex offender laws. You are done for life. That is why there are so many repeat offenders. They will never get a second chance.

ispeakadatruth

poor guy!

TakeAstand

I know plenty of convicted felons doing just fine. It doesn't end your life in the aspect you speak of becuase of your felony. It just means you have to try harder to overcome the your mistakes you choose to make. The moron who keeps racking up more arrests and felonies is the only one to blame for his chance at normal life ending!!!! Does he really think another crime will make life any better?? The only reason a repeat offender keeps on repeating is usually because he a [filtered word] with no morals and/or he hasnt been punished properly to deter his behavior!!! Either way I have no sympathy!!!!
